Buzzed at Comic-Con

Frank and I drove south to battle the crowds at Comic-Con. We met up with Shane, and he introduced us to some up-and-coming artists from Brazil: Fabio Moon, Gabriel Ba, Bruno D'Angelo. Gifted dudes.

I was taken aback by the number of people who'd read LEGION. All of them had good things to say about it.

"I wanted to be the one to illustrate it," Bruno D'Angelo told me. "But I'm glad Cobi's doing it. No one else could do it better."

"Cobi" was Fabio Cobiaco, an illustrator from Sao Paulo. I'd seen a little of his work before in a Western anthology Shane had published, titled "Gunned Down." The guy was good. Real good.

Now we had an artist.
